Tb-8 "muir"
Tb-8 muir is a gen 3 MBT that was designed by the Shkval inc. as a replacement for the Tb-6 “cascade” that was in need of a replacement due to the many issues it had. During the year 1981, the first prototype of Tb-8 was built and was later adopted by the Vaesha’s Ground Army Forces as the Tb-8A “muir” for ground assault in order to support troops by its high amount of firepower it had in 1982, a year after the first prototype was built.
Designed in 1980, the Tb-8 was made for both fire support and direct assault unit due to its thick armour overall and a decent firepower with its 105mm cannon. It was later mass produced for over 3000 units with many modification was put onto it in order to both boost its survivability and its lethality for a mbt.
Several versions of Tb-8 was made, this include
Tb-8A
Tb-8U
Tb-8U mod. 1992
Tb-8UD
Tb-8BVM
And more.
It was later replaced by the Tb-12 “Casket” due to the outdated components and the Shkval inc. Being unable to produce any more parts due to 78% of their factory across the Augte Vaesha was destroyed or captured during the war and the Tb project was later handled to the Heilken Industrial Fabricators in order to continue the project long after the shkval inc. Went bankrupt and was later decomissioned due to lack of funds.
