In the year 1998, the union of trenchea which during that time was still named Casdian republic, was experimenting with the advanced main battle tank program in order to replace their outdated Tb-8 and Tb-7 that was given by the Augte vaesha due to their unreliability and their faulty autoloading system. Around january 17 1998 2 companies had stepped in and make 3 different prototypes with their own codename, all of which were.

• XB-8 “Thea”

• Pg-1 (p) “Gaia”

• K-11 (P) “Phantom“

Later the Casdian Armed Forces evaluate the prototypes for testing in one of casdian airfield located in city of Krueg. After some testing the prototypes were later given the result and it was just bad, as stated by the documents reading

”the prototypes has been showing some of its faulty system as we expected, as the first and second prototype jammed at the exactly 12th shot, and the first prototype exploded during testing as during firing test the breech was not properly closed by the autoloaders, leading to a massive explosion that caused the entire crew to ███████ ███ ██████ ████ ███████ ███ ██████ ██ █████. The third prototype weren’t so lucky either as during testing the transmission catches on fire and the turret traverse system jammed and caused the turret to be unable to be turned constantly, but later was fixed by turning on and off the power system which is unreliable”

Later after some evaluations the casdia armed forces choose the third prototype as the first prototype was too dangerous amd the second prototype was deemed ‘not powerful enough’ despite its great armour and good firepower, which this prototype leads to the chessiour project by the anzhao republic after the company that make it switched to anzhao.

The choosen prototype was later named the KTF-9 (p) "python” in the honor of Casdia special infantry unit, Arles python. KTF-9 was first designed with a semi autoloading system. The first version (the one on the original prototype) require the loader to load the apfsds by hand and the propelant by the autoloading system, the second variant just the same thing but the HEAT and HE shell were placed on the bustle aswell, the last variant is using the pre choosen ammo by the gunner in which the loader had to put manualy before the propelant was put in. The KTF-9 was equiped with 2 diff gun, a 125mm destroya (for export variant) and the 120mm Martil.

KTF-9 was later entered production after some more testing in march 20th 1998 and soon adopted by the casdian army forces where it still serves to this day with some modification and other advancement to meet the current day standards
