Community Note

The Bagelpanzer was a German private Project by Thyssen-Henschel in 1977. Without funding or support from the German Army Thyssen-Henschel started developing their Armored Infantry Fire Support Vehicle (AIFSV). It used the somwhat newly adopted Marder IFV Hull and an 57mm Bofors as its main gun along with an BGM-71 TOW for anti armour purposes. Only one Begleitpanzer was produced along with one mockup, due to there being no intrest for such a vehicle in the German Army.
