Quack

This is not the actual turret of the Quack hull but instead it was intended for the Char G1R project. This can be seen in World of tanks where the turret is too large for its hull, but in CTS it has been shrunk.

The Quack or Char G1R turret was made by request when the G1 project was started. Like most French projects during this time, the turret was designed seperate from the hull making it so that a standard could be applied to many other vehicles. By request ARL, FCM and Renault started designing turrets meant to be placed on the G1 and to test the new high velocity 75mm gun. Which then led to Renault making the “Renault-Balland” turret which is the turret we have. The whole project ended in 1940 after the fall of France with only woodenmockups being made. One thing that is missing and can be seen on many wooden mockups is the commanders machinegun turret.
